Teaching

Six years of university teaching — at the Chair of E-Business, Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg, and at Hochschule Merseburg.

From 2020 to 2026 I independently prepared and taught Bachelor's and Master's courses, designed and marked examinations, and supervised seminar papers and theses. Two subjects sat at the core of my teaching in Halle: e-business and internet economics. Both build directly on the textbooks of my supervisor, Prof. Dr. Ralf Peters, which form the foundation of the chair's curriculum. In parallel I designed and taught two data science modules of my own at Hochschule Merseburg.

Core subjects

Bachelor

E-Business

Technologies and applications of electronic business — from digital value creation and business models to the IT instruments behind them.

Foundation: Ralf Peters, E-Business: Technologien und Anwendungen (2021, ISBN 979-8-7144-7512-2).

Master

Internet Economics

How the internet creates new digital markets and reshapes existing ones — classical economic models applied to the net, plus new ones, with cases like Amazon, eBay, and Google.

Foundation: Ralf Peters, Internet-Ökonomie (Springer, 2010, DOI, ISBN 978-3-642-10651-4).

Data science modules — Hochschule Merseburg

Two Bachelor modules I conceived and taught independently, hands-on in Python:

Bachelor · 4 SWS

Data Science Grundlagen (DSG)

Foundations of data science — lecture and exercise, taught in Python 3.

Bachelor · 4 SWS

Data Science Methoden (DSM)

Data science methods — lecture, exercise, and live coding in Python.

Further teaching

Beyond the two core subjects, I taught and supervised across neighbouring topics of the chair:

This included the conception and marking of examinations and the supervision of seminar papers and Bachelor's and Master's theses. The research strand on electronic markets and auctions draws on a further work by Ralf Peters, Elektronische Märkte — Spieltheoretische Konzeption und agentenorientierte Realisierung (Springer, ISBN 978-3-642-57508-2).

Workshops & training. I also offer talks and hands-on training on data science, NLP, and generative AI — see services — built on this teaching experience.
